1933 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
PEGGY PENNINGTON BAKER PHARR - Peggy Pennington Baker passed away August 19, 2014 in McAllen, TX. She was born in Bloomington, IN to Harold and Olive Edwards Pennington (deceased) in 1933. Surviving her is her husband, Ed Chester Baker and a son, R. Michael Baker of Indianapolis, IN. One son, Alan Lee Baker preceded her in death as well as a sister, Betty Louise Myers. She was educated at Elm Heights, McCalla, and University Grade Schools. High School education was at Ward Belmont Preparatory School in Nashville, TN and University High School from which she graduated in 1951. She attended Indiana University until her marriage. A member of the Avion Travelcade Club, an international travel trailer group, she and her husband, Chet, served as group travel leaders to Alaska and Mexico as well as Rally Directors. As a member of this group she also served as International Treasurer and Executive Secretary. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Central Christian Church, McAllen, TX, and was serving as Recording Secretary.
