ROGELIO M. GARCIA McALLEN - Rogelio M. Garcia, 94, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his place of residence. Born in Mercedes, Texas, Mr. Garcia was a well known photographer who had his studio on 313 South 17th, McAllen. Mr. Garcia was a Veteran having served in the Army during World War II during the Normandy invasion. Mr. Garcia is survived by his adoring son Juan (Lupe) Garcia of McAllen; three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; a niece, Lupe Garcia from Katy, Texas three sisters Sandra Rodriguez from Donna, Graciela Salinas from Harlingen and Yolanda Garcia from Mercedes; and one brother Javier Garcia from Chicago, Illinois. Visitations and viewing will begin today, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 beginning at 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Burial with military honors will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements and services were entrusted to the care of Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen.
