Robert Jesse French II

CEDAR CITY, UT: Robert Jesse French II, of Cedar City, UT, went to be with his Lord on May 22, 2013, surrounded by his wife, children, father and siblings.

He was born on June 28, 1953 to Robert and Mary Ann (Dougherty) French.

Bob was a member of the 1971 graduating class of Lakota High School. Following his graduation he joined I.W. Local 55 of Toledo. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the VietNam War where he attained the rate of MM1st class.

After his discharge, Bob was employed by AEPCO, Cochise, AZ., and while there he was called by God to full time ministry. Bob was ordained in Safford, AZ, and for the last ten years served as senior Pastor of Mountainview Baptist Church in Cedar City, UT.

Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia (Engle); daughters, Tobi Jo (Preston) Hancock, Jamie East, Sara Dornan, and Amanda (Eddy) Dominguez; also surviving are his father, Robert J. French; brother, Kevin (Anne) French; and sisters, Kathleen (Larry) Waelde, Valerie (Steve) Culpepper and Wendy (Dennis) Laycock.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann French and his grandparents, Jesse and Elsie French of Bradner.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 24, 2013 by Southern Utah Mortuary, Cedar City, UT. Bob will be greatly missed by his wife, his family, his parishioners.and countless friends.
