Harold Donald Watts

Funeral services for Harold Donald Watts, 84, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 6, 2013, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Watts was born August 3, 1928 in Evergreen, AL and passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his residence in Monroe. He was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church, U. S. Army veteran, and retired from Western Geophysical Company as a party chief. During his military service, he helped build Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. Mr. Watts loved working in his yard and water skied until he was 76 years old.

Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his father, David R. Watts; mother, Lillian Norwood Watts; sisters, Grace Hall and Gwen Griffin; and brother, Charles Watts.

Survivors include his wife Audrey Jeanette Butts Watts; son, Donny Harold Watts of Abilene, TX; daughters, Kimberly Rodgers of Rocky Branch, LA, Susan Ryan of West Monroe, LA, and Nancy Watts of Duncanville, TX; grandchildren, Justin Cole Rodgers, James Richardson Ryan, Leah Morgan Ryan, Rachel Nicole Rodgers, Trenton Donald Watts, and Reid Carlton Watts; sister, Minta Eddins of Peterman, AL; brothers, McFarlan Watts of Bay Minette, AL, Randolph Watts of Cantonment, FL, and Lavon Watts of Bay Minette, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be McFarlan Watts, Randolph Watts, Lavon Watts, Justin Rodgers, Greg Rodgers, James Ryan, Donny Watts, Reid Watts, Trent Watts, and Rod Ryan.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
