Linda Tapp Holyfield Cooper

A mass celebrating the life of Linda Tapp Holyfield Cooper will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 1050 W. Best Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Denzil Vithanage and Johnny Holyfield. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA. Visitation will be held in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a rosary service beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Linda was born in Curlew, IA and passed away on July 4, 2013 after a courageous fight with cancer. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren. Linda cared about others and gave of herself freely whenever she was needed. She always had a smile on her face and she set an example of how we should all always remain positive in spite of different obstacles that we may face. Linda loved traveling, sewing and taking pictures.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Tapp and Catherine Larson Tapp, as well as, one sister, Mary Ann Tapp.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Linda is her husband, Dee Cooper; children, Tim Holyfield, Tammy Randol and husband Steve, Thomas Holyfield and Tony Holyfield and wife Michelle; two brothers, Jerry and Emmit Tapp; grandchildren, Dustin Randol, Eric Randol, Logan Holyfield, Dylan Randol, Nicholas Holyfield, Joshua Holyfield, Christopher Holyfield and Anthony Holyfield; loving cousin, Jeannie Jeffrey and numerous other relative and friends.

Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Eric Randol, Dustin Randol, Logan Holyfield, Nicholas Holyfield, Dylan Randol, and Joshua Holyfield. Honorary pallbearers will be: Christopher Holyfield and Anthony Holyfield.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Willis Knighton North, especially Dr. Kompelli, Dr. Forrest Wright, Dr. Feagin, the Cancer Treatment Center and Willis Knighton Hospice.
