William "Bill" Byron Farmer Jr.

William "Bill" Byron Farmer Jr. 68, of Moss Point, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Mobile, AL. Mr. Farmer was born on November 24, 1944 in Columbus, GA to the late William and Alice Farmer.

He was a member of St. Joseph the worker Catholic Church, the Pascagoula Elks Lodge #1120 and the American Legion Post # 1992 in Gautier. He received his Masters Degree in Business from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked as an Engineer with Lockheed Martin, where he received numerous awards for his achievements with the Aegis Project. He was a U. S. Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He had a heart for gardening and was an avid LSU fan, who loved Cajun music.

In addition to his parents Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his brother, John Richard Farmer.

He is survived by his sons, William Byron Farmer III, James Brandon Farmer and Vincent Darrell Miller; long time friend and companion, Betty Sue Malley; sister, Marilyn (Ronald L.) Landry; nephews, Sean T. Landry and Ronald L. Landry Jr.; great-nephew, Kolton M. Landry; and special friends, Susan Johnson, Laura Alford and Randy Malley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the worker Catholic Church with Father Thomas Joseph officiating.
