Weaver, Frances Marie Arnold "Fran'

Kenosha- Frances Marie Arnold Weaver, 75, passed away peacefully at Wheaton Franciscan - All Saints Medical Center on Friday, October 25, 2013.

Fran was born in Akron, Ohio on July 9, 1938, to the late Frank and Thelma (nee: Geary) Arnold. She graduated from St. Vincent High School in Akron, OH in 1956. With a full scholarship, Fran went on to graduate with honors in math & chemistry, from St. Mary's of the Springs, now known as Ohio Dominican College, - Columbus, OH in 1960. Following, she was awarded a full chemistry scholarship at Ohio State University. Fran was also selected as an alternate for the Fulbright Scholar Award in Australia.

Fran had a successful career in the marketing and publication industries, working in every form of media except newspaper. Her final career venture was serving as the Executive Director of the Oshkosh Convention & Visitors Bureau, from where she retired in 2003.

Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 52 years, Ed Weaver of Kenosha; son, Michael J. (Carolyn) Weaver of Chicago, IL; daughter, Kristen (Donald Jr.) Hyatt of Racine; granddaughters, Samantha and Alexandra Weaver; Bailey and Erin Hyatt; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Madonna (Joe) Meeker, Theresa Westphal, Marion (Virginia) Weaver, Tom (Dolly) Weaver, Regina (Vonnice) Brinson and the late Karl (Antoinette "Toni") Weaver; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by Ed's parents, Edmund and Emma (nee: Keller) Weaver, Sr.

A memorial celebration of Fran's life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from noon -2:00 pm. In accordance with Fran's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the or to the Toastmasters International "Ralph C. Smedley Memorial Fund" have been suggested.
