Wilkum Jr., Henry

Henry Walter Wilkum Jr., age 76, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning April 6, 2014 at the North Central Health Care Mountview Nursing Home of Wausau.

He was born on May 17, 1937 in Milwaukee the son of Henry W. Sr. and Eleanore (Kosmatka) Wilkum.

He was a graduate of the Berlin High School with the class of 1956.

After High School he entered the U.S. Air Force and served his country from October of 1956 to October of 1960.

He then married Cecelia Gregor on December 2, 1961 at Saint Stanislaus of Berlin.

He was employed by the Berlin Foundry, Berlin Feed, as a truck driver and the Sand Knit Corp. of Berlin as a janitor up until his retirement.

He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin (formerly Saint Michael's and Saint Stanislaus).

He enjoyed fishing, using his CB Radio to talk with folks, and being a good husband and father.

He is survived by his beloved wife Cecelia of the Brown-Wilcox Home of Berlin, son, Henry Walter Wilkum III., of Plainfield, Indiana, son, Richard Alan Wilkum of Princeton, daughter, Cathy Ann Wilkum of Neshkoro and son, Michael James Wilkum of Seymour, Indiana also other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Linda and a son at birth, Peter.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday April 14, 2014 at 11am at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and burial will follow in the Saint Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Berlin with full Military Honors by the Wells-Krause VFW Post 2925 Honor Guard of Berlin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday only from 10 to 11 am.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
