Paul T. Bledsoe Paul T. Bledsoe, U.S. Army (Ret), age 90, of Lacey, WA passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Paul was born in Exeter, CA in September, 1923. He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1943 during WWII and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. While stationed at Fort Lewis, he met Thelma and they were wed on September 13, 1944. Paul participated in the Korean Conflict as a Medic and served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army in 1966, he started a new career at Continental Can Company in Lacey, WA. He retired for the second, and final time, in 1988. Paul and family resided in Lacey for over 60 years and Paul was a leader in Scouting, PTA, Masons, and many other civic activities. He and Thelma enjoyed traveling in their motorhome throughout the U.S., Canada, Alaska, Mexico and the British Isles. Paul is survived by his wife, Thelma of Lacey; his two sons, Paul (Janell) of Olympia, and Steven (Irene) of Lacey; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters. Family and friends have been blessed by knowing him and he will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014 at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Rd. SW, Tumwater, WA. He will be interred with Military Honors.
