JOMESBORO - Mr. Frank Adam Spurlock, 65, died at 8:01 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

He was born on May 12, 1948, in Anna, the son of Adam Franklin and Josephine Uselton Spurlock.
He was married to Virgie Webb who preceded him death in 2001.
Survivors include one son, Scott Spurlock of Jonesboro; one stepson, Stanley Fowler of Carbondale; three grandchildren, Kalyssa Paige Spurlock, Blaise McHenry and Zachary Fowler; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virgie Spurlock; one sister; and one brother.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam, receiving numerous metals including a Purple Heart. He was a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW of Anna. Frank was a Union Laborer for more than 30 years.
Services for Mr. Frank Adam Spurlock will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Randy Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Casper Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at the Funeral Home.
