ALTO PASS - Jackie Dean Eastwood, 80, of Paducah, passed away at Lourdes Hospital at 9:02 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.

Jack was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Alto Pass. A native of Gilbertsville, he worked as a coalman and engineer for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
He served in The U.S. Navy.
He was a member of The Scottish Rite –Valley Of Southern Illinois Shriner and member of Masonic Lodge 172 in Fulton. He was a sports enthusiast who not only enjoyed watching various sporting events but competed in many as well. He was a huge fan of UK Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Iris Ann Higgerson Eastwood; his daughters, Pamela Ruth Fleming and husband, Gary, of Normal, and Jacqueline Suzette Ward and husband, Harry, of Los Fresnos, Texas; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brown Lowell Grant Eastwood and Ethell May Wright Eastwood; his son, Jeffrey Lynn Eastwood; his sisters, Mary Lindsey, Ruth Savage and Lorene Thornton; his brothers, Fred, Cletus, Ralph, Paul, Lester and Burl Eastwood; and two grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Eastwood will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, in Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, with the Rev Lynn Shurley officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m.
