Charles Cyril Benjamin, 75, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on April 19, 2014. Charles was born on August 24, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri. He married his high school sweetheart Kay Dobbs on August 13 1960.
Charles was raised and was educated in Belton, Missouri. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and was a jet mechanic in the Navy while stationed in Texas. He and his wife, and their two daughters, moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1971. Charles spent much of his career in the construction industry. After he retired, Charles and Kay later moved to St. George, Utah to be near their grandchildren.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and mostly spending time with his wife, children, son-in-law, and his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his wife, Kay; children Lisa Benjamin Mitchell of Dammeron Valley, UT and Amy Beth Benjamin of St. George, Utah, Charles C. Benjamin II and Cynthia Benjamin San Antonio, Texas, his son-in-law Robert Mitchell, and by seven grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Emily, Chad, Katharine, Tyler and Charles III. He also leaves behind loved ones, Sonny Benjamin of Nevada, and Sonny's sister, Phyllis Edwards, of Lee's Summit Missouri, and his sister-in-law Wilma Benjamin.
