Dean Alexander Sessions

Gunlock, Utah

Dean Alexander Sessions age 88 passed away peacefully April 8, 2013 in Gunlock, Utah surrounded by his loving family.

Dean was born April 27, 1924 in Whiterocks, Utah to Alexander and Erma Sessions. Dean was the oldest of four children. Dean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dean attended schools in Tridell, Whiterocks and graduated from Alterra High in 1943. Dean spent his youth farming and learning about live stock from his father, which he spent his life doing. Dean was known for his many talents when it came to live stock. His animals brought him much joy.

After high school Dean went into the Marine corps. Dean served his Country with great honor and bravery, receiving the purple heart. Upon returning he married Doris Huber June 24, 1947, In the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Vernal, Utah, until they moved to Gunlock, Utah in 1993. Together they have 5 children; Dayle (Alan) Baird, St. George, Utah, Dee A. (Luwanna) Loma, Colorodo, Danny (ReAnn) Jensen, Utah, Diane Adams, Washington, Utah, Dixie (Bryan Peterson) Mt. Green, Utah. 19 Grand Children and 29 Great Grand Children, 1 Great Great Grandson.

Dean is survived by his loving wife; Doris of 65 years, children, grand children, Brother; Barney (Lloy) Vernal, Utah, Sister; Eula (Duane) Price Centerville, Utah.

Dean is proceeded in death by his parents, sister LaRue Watkins, son-in-law Doug Adams and brother-in-law Bruce Watkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at the Gunlock LDS Chapel. Visitations will be held at Pine View Mortuary on Thursday April 11, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m and Friday April 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m prior to services at the Gunlock LDS Chapel.

Interment will be in the Gunlock Cemetery, Gunlock, Utah under the direction of Pine View Mortuary, 435 - 986 - 4222.
