John Bushnell Obituary
John (Jack) Kelleth Bushnell

St George

John (Jack) Kelleth Bushnell, 79 passed away on Christmas Eve 2013 in St. George, Utah after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

John was born on September 5, 1934 the second child of Kelleth and Elna Bushnell in Flowell, Utah.

He graduated from South High School and attended the University of Utah. He was a member of the L.D.S Church and could often be found reading scripture in his chair in the middle of the night. He was proud to serve in the Korean War for the country he loved. He was a long standing member of the appraisal institute and earned his MAI. He married Joanne Knight, they had one son, John Kevin Bushnell. Later he married Wanda Watts of Kanosh, Utah. They had three children: Lori, Jeff and Denise. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Johnathon Brazell (24) Aviana Bushnell (21) Jordan Brazell (14) and Dusty (the dog). John's gracious open heart was a gift to many, always so full of love, humor and support, never judging. His warm laugh (and whistle) filled a room. Someone once said "John never met a stranger". He has left us all with heavy hearts, but with a gift of humility unlike any other. He has been and will continue to be greatly loved and missed. He is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Wanda, children and grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Joann and Perry Kjar; Eileen and Bill Birkes; and his brother, Howard Bushnell.

Services will be held in St. George, Utah on Friday January 3, 2014 Friends and family are welcome to come pay their respects beforehand beginning at 11:30 AM; services will begin at 1:00 PM at the Mulberry LDS Chapel - 3381 S. Jack lived at the Kolob care facility for the past four years. Along with the gentle care of his care givers and the humanity of the chosen from Horizon Hospice, we would like to give our heartfelt gratitude to you all.
