Robert Milton Cottam, age 86, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born April 22, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA, to Joseph Milton and Helen Stuart Cottam.
Bob was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA, Thunderbird School and Dixie College. He served in the US Army. Bob resided in Sacramento, CA, Lake Tahoe, CA and St. George, UT.
Bob was an Entrepreneur, owning many different businesses. He was a private plane pilot and an importer of European classic cars. He was passionate about collecting European classic cars and was an avid reader.
Bob was a member of the LDS church, attending the Bloomington 3rd Ward.
His is survived by his loving wife, Alice Cottam; his four children, Lisa Roberts, John Cottam, Kathy Carter and Vicky Van Steyn; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Sanchez.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dixie Hospice Group, the Huntsman Cancer Center, Dr. Heather Gilbert, and dear friend, Dr. Jones.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff, St. George. There will be a viewing Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also Monday morning from 10:00-10:45 am prior to services, both held at the mortuary. Interment will take place in the St. George City Cemetery.
