Ruth Robinson, age 95, passed away on July 12, 2013 in St. George, Utah. She was born December 11, 1917, in Bountiful, Utah to Joseph Eldridge and Harriet Spencer Robinson.
Ruth attended UCLA for 4 years and USC for 2 years in California. She worked in LA City for 34 years as a child librarian. Ruth was a devoted member of the LDS church. She served a mission to Virginia and worked in the Los Angles LDS Temple. While living in St. George, Utah, Ruth was a member of the Dixie Republican Forum.
Ruth loved to read and was a beloved aunt and sister-in-law; she deeply loved her extended family.
Surviving family include her sister-in-law, Margaret Robinson of St. George, UT; nieces and nephews, John S. Robinson of Bountiful, UT, Joseph E. Robinson of Mission Viejo, CA, Lorraine McDonald of Newhall, CA, Spencer Robinson of Sandy, UT, Carolyn Jones of Sandy, UT, Dana Robinson of Spanish Fork, UT and Keith Watson of Boise, ID. She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Larry Robinson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Bloomington Hills 3rd Ward Chapel, 1222 E. Brigham Rd., St. George, UT. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff, St. George and again Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the chapel. Interment will take place in the Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach, CA.
