BERNARD "BERNIE" GREENFIELD October 10, 1920 - March 21, 2014 Retired Peel Regional Police Officer. Served overseas during 2nd World War with the RCASC After living with Alzheimer's for 12 years, Bernie passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2014. Bernard Greenfield of Huntsville in his 94th year. Cherished husband for 66 years to Bernice. Married July 19, 1947. Beloved father of Janice Cornett and her partner Dan, Donald and his wife Darlene. Loving grandfather of Shirley and Johnathan Cornett and Glen Greenfield. Great- grandfather of Leah, Logan and Leo. Dear brother of Gertrude Willis, Harry and Gladys, Margaret Bromby, Jack and Lorraine, Ed and Charlene. Predeceased by siblings Irene, Bill, Audrey Clare and Robert. Lovingly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bernie was a Meritorious Life Member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 232 Huntsville and the last remaining Charter Member of Branch 582 Cooksville. A Legion Service and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 232, 21 Veterans Way, Huntsville, Ontario, on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The Venerable Dawn Henderson officiating.
