HAROLD OLIVER JACKSON 1919 - 2013 Died peacefully at North York General Hospital (Toronto) on July 31, 2013. Harold was born in Dundalk, Ontario, the eldest of 7. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 64 years Bertha (Hunking) and 5 devoted children: Ruth, Philip, Mary Lou, Lois and Janice. Loving father- in-law to Richard Lougheed, Nancy Jackson, Shane Willms, Ken Johnson and Dean Treasure. He will be forever missed by his 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and his large extended family and many friends. He is survived by his siblings: Bill, Marjorie Gillies, Hazel Gordon and Jane Seeley. He is predeceased by his two brothers Ray and Glen. He served his country in the Carleton and York Regiment, and was in active service during WWII from 1942-45. He is a member of The War Amps of Canada and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 in recognition of his contributions to Canada.
