JACK CONNOR Jack Connor, 80, of Toronto, Ontario, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 after kicking the living hell out of cancer but losing in the final round. He leaves behind daughters Karen and Bonnie (Alex), and four terrific grandchildren: Veronica, Gillian, Arden and Will who will no doubt keep going his fighting spirit and loving heart. He will be truly missed by Chrissie Allan, his many nieces, nephews and friends, and his best buddy of all, Bandit. Jack immigrated to Canada in 1956 to make a new life for him and his bride, Betty (Watson), both from Paisley, Scotland. With $5 in his pocket and a new gabardine suit, Jack believed that even if there was only one job available in Canada, it would be his when he arrived. He had a successful career with General Motors of Canada, was a proud member of the Canadian Legion and a diehard Leafs fan.
