KATHLEEN MILLAN It is with great sadness we announce Kathy's passing on December 29, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years Malcolm, daughters Julie (Harold) and Catherine, son Mike (Chrissie), brother Peter and sister-in-law Penny, brother Bill, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends in Canada, Australia and the UK. Kathy absolutely adored her 4 grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Ian and Elizabeth. Their love and cuddles gave her tremendous joy and the strength to persevere for so many years. Special thanks to Dr. Haq, Dr. Schipper, Dr. Macintyre and staff at St. Michael's Hospital for their great care. Kathy was also looked after in her final days by the wonderful Mt. Sinai Palliative care team and in particular, Dr. Kevin Bezanson who went the extra mile during the recent storm to make sure Kathy could stay home. Thank you to the lovely nurses Marrisa Khosravi and Debbie Richard from St. Elizabeth Health Care whose kindness and skill helped Kathy so much during her treatment. Kathy was a special, warm, friendly and thoughtful person. Her many interests included Sunday bike rides, tennis, quilting, long hikes with friends and chats with neighbours. Everyone loved her and she will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Rd. (west of Victoria Park Ave.), on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in St. John the Baptist, Norway, Anglican Church, 470 Woodbine Ave. (at Kingston Rd.), on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. Private Cremation.
