PETER JOHN FARMER December 19, 1938 - September 27, 2013 At Rouge Valley, Ajax, peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Lorna. Peter leaves behind his sons David (Elizabeth), Brian (Linda), Glenn (Grace) and brother Hugh (Angie). Peter was the adored papa of Amanda (Christopher), Alexander, Sabrina, Dawson, Kayla, Kody and Evelyn. A 35 year employee at the Scarborough Board of Education, Peter was also a past member of the Scarborough Bluffs Rotary Club and a current member of the Ajax Kinsmen. Peter was a longtime member of St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Scarborough, and a valued friend and neighbour to many. Peter's love of family, charity and especially gardening will always be remembered by those who loved him. His kind and gentle nature defined Peter. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to his favourite charity, Sleeping Children Around the World ( To celebrate Peter's love of life, please wear bright colours. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at ICU and 4th floor East at Rouge Valley, Ajax Hospital. Friends may call at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, 905-443-3376, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Mount Lawn Chapel on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11 a.m.
