SHIRLEY MILLER 1935 - 2014 Shirley Miller (nee Bergerson) died peacefully Friday, March 7, 2014 with her husband of 59 years Brian by her side. Shirley was 78 years young. She will be sadly missed by her children Kevin, Robert and Laura; her grandchildren, Bradley and wife Nikki, great-grandchildren Ryan and Dylan, Mitchell and wife Alexandra, great-grandchild Roman, Lisa and husband Mitch, great-grandchild Jeremy, John and wife Jamie-Lee, great- grandchild, Aiden; brother Roy, sister-in-law Susan, brother- in-law Don and sister-in-law Barbara; cousins Audrey and Cindy; nieces Cheryl, Jill, Lori, Tracey and Dina and the entire Bergerson clan; and all her favourite "Euchre" gal pals, whose friendship spanned 50 years and who also filled her life with tonnes of joy and laughter. All of those who knew Shirley will remember that she had a beautiful zest for life and loved to create artistically for the pleasure of all those around. She loved sports of all kinds and cheered loudly to encourage her favourite teams to win. She even cheered on the ladies' and men's Canadian Hockey Team to Olympic Gold from her hospital bed. Some may even know that she met Brian, the love of her life, at the baseball field and continued to play sports into her forties. She was only generous and kind and really lived by the motto "Life is Good". Shirley's spirit will live on and her life honoured. Thanks to the care teams at Groves Memorial Hospital- Fergus and Grand River Hospital- Kitchener. May we one day win the fight against cancer. The Miller family will be hosting a celebration of life memorial. The date and time announcement to friends and family will be forthcoming.
