Ivor Merritt Frydenlund
January 25, 1946 - May 9, 2013
Ivor passed away after a short battle with Esophageal cancer on May 9, 2013 with his family by his side. Ivor was born in Saskatoon and raised on the family farm south of Allan. After marriage, Ivor and Cheryl moved to Zelma and then to Allan to raise their family. Ivor was a hard worker and was employed at the Colonsay mine from May 5, 1975 until November 1, 2010. He also farmed for many years. He enjoyed bingo, puzzles, watching/ playing curling, bowling, coffee row with friends, watching his granddaughters, Saturday road trips with his friend Elmer, and camping at Manitou with his family. Ivor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl; daughters Val (Dennis) Paquette, Tammy Frydenlund, Karoline (Quentin) Mallow; son Merritt (Candice) Frydenlund; granddaughters Inga Paquette, Kloe Mallow, Noél Frydenlund; and sister Elaine Paproski. He was predeceased by his parents Sigvald and Marie, brother Glen, daughter Sharmane, and brother-in-law Dave. A Private Family Gathering will be held on May 18, 2013.
