January 10, 1979 – October 28, 2013
It is with sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden passing of Ricky, the beloved son of Tom and Debbie and baby brother to Sandy, on Monday, October 28, 2013. He also leaves to mourn his two best buddies, Ernie and Cujo, who were always by his side as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Dorothy Knowles, his maternal grandparents, Cliff and Lorraine Hessdorfer and his maternal great-grandparents, Tom and Elizabeth Carriere. Ricky was born on January 10, 1979 in Saskatoon. Ricky attended school at St. Mark's, Hugh Cairns and Marion M. Graham where he graduated in June 2000. After his graduation, he began working at Cosmopolitan Industries Limited until his sudden passing. Ricky was actively involved in Special Olympics 5 pin bowling and the Monday night walking program. He enjoyed babysitting his Dad, watching Days of our Lives with his Mom and lovingly teasing his sister. He loved watching CMT, Three's Company and The Jefferson's as well as many other TV shows. Ricky was such a routine guy, who looked forward to his Saturday burger and fries after bowling as well as his Sunday breakfasts enjoyed with his family, which was always topped off with his favorite slurpee, "Beer" (root beer). Ricky's Celebration of Life will be held at Edwards Family Centre, 333 4th Avenue North, on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM (Courtesy Parking at Saskatoon Funeral Home). Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Ricky's honor to Cosmopolitan Industries Limited (28-34th Street East). Arrangements are in care of the Prairie View Chapel and Crematorium 306-242-7884.
