Alfred Bolcavitch, 83, of Jessup died Thursday at his residence. His wife is the former Pauline Chopak. They were married for 51 years.

Born in Eynon on Jan. 8, 1931, son of the late Eva (Shevock) and Robert Bolcavitch, Alfred was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Archbald. He served in the Navy, and was a retired employee of Modern Machine Shop of Scranton.
Al died peacefully surrounded by his family after a 28-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. The family would like to thank the staff of Traditional Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Al during his illness.
Alfred is also survived by two sisters, Lorraine Yuengel, El Paso, Texas; and Carol Lopatofsky, Pittsburgh; a brother, Robert Bolcavitch, Atmore, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald, with a religious service at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Main Street, Archbald, with the Rev. Paul Metzloff officiating. Interment, Prospect Hill Cemetery, Peckville.
