Anthony J. Krukoski, 71, of Throop, died Monday at home.

Born in Throop, son of the late Leo and Mary Krukoski, he was educated in the Throop schools, and served honorably in the Navy. While serving, Anthony received a citation for exceptionally meritorious service in support of operations in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. He retired from Supermarket Service, Dunmore, where he worked as a warehouseman and licensed fork lift operator. He was an honorary retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Tony enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially liked spending time with his many friends at Puzzles.

Surviving are his brother, Leo Krukoski and wife, Sue, Benbrook, Texas; and his sister, Carol Schott and husband, John, Scott Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Throop. Burial, St. Anthony's Cemetery, Dickson City.
