Arlene M. Krizovich, 56, of Throop, died peacefully Tuesday at Regional Hospital Hospice.

Born in Scranton on Sept. 12, 1957, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Solensky Krizovich, she was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, class of 1975, and an alumnae of Penn State University. She was a special education teacher for NEIU until retirement in 2012. She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Throop.
Arlene spent her life caring for her family and passionately teaching her students. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are a brother, Paul, and wife, Darlene, Blakely; nephews, Douglas P., Scott A., and Scott J. and fiancée, Heather Hollister; nieces, Argia Domski and Heidi Cummings; five great-nieces and four great-nephews; close cousins and lifelong friends.
The funeral will be Friday with services at 10:30 a.m. from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney, pastor, Blessed Sacrament Parish, Throop. Private interment, Holy Family Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a no kill animal shelter of choice.
