Carol Alimenti, 80, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Sunday at the VNA Hospice Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her loving husband of 60 years is Carl Alimenti.

Born in Lykens on Jan. 15, 1933, daughter of the late William and Anna Lewis Kauderman, she was raised in Harrisburg and was a 1950 graduate of the Harrisburg School District. Carol also graduated from Central Pennsylvania Business College in 1951. Having worked for the Royal Typewriter Co. in Harrisburg, she later retired as an administrative assistant in the student services department at Penn State University's Worthington Scranton Campus after 23 years. She was a longtime faithful member of Moosic Presbyterian Church, where she served as past president, secretary and teacher of the Utopian class.
Carol's interests were plentiful, including square dancing, line dancing and quilting.
Also surviving are two sons, Anthony Alimenti, Crozet, Va.; and John Alimenti, Huron, Tenn.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriet Seavers, Elizabethtown; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Stauffer.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, Robert J. Gillette, funeral director, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Carol's family wishes memorial donations be directed to Moosic Presbyterian Church, 625 Main St., Moosic, PA 18507 or to the donor's favorite charity.
