Charles J. Kennedy, 86, of Endwell, N.Y., died Sunday. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna M. Antalek Kennedy.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott, N.Y., a retired 30-year employee of IBM Endicott and a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was also a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was the owner/operator of one of the first TV repair shops in the area as well as a pioneer in computer science.

He is also survived by five children, Charles M. Kennedy and wife, Lynette, Endwell; James F. Kennedy, Dacona, Colo.; Suzanne Verity and husband, Christopher, Maine, N.Y.; David Kennedy and wife, Nadine, Johnson City, N.Y.; Patricia DeMarle and husband, David, Burnt Hills, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, Patrick Kennedy and partner, Ashley Valenti; Matthew Kennedy, Jo Anne Eckert, Connor, Maeve and Ryan Verity, David Kennedy, Margaret, Dorothea and Josephine DeMarle; four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Kennedy and Catelyn and Deneese Eckert; a brother, Robert Kennedy, and wife, Rosemarie; a sister, Mary Maddox; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Lentes Kennedy; brothers, Joseph, John, Aloysius, Francis, Paul, Lawrence, Thomas and Jerome Kennedy; sister, Anna Stephens; and great-grandson, Derick Eckert.

Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 207 Hayes Ave., Endicott. Burial will be private. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott.
