John B. (Jack) O'Malley, 94, a resident of the Nativity section of Scranton, died Sunday at Green Ridge Health Care Center. His wife of 63 years is the former Alice Marie Wies O'Malley.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward J. and Dorothy Breen O'Malley, he was a member of St. John Neumann Parish and a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School. He was a retired employee of Samuel J. Aronshon Co. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Army Air Corps.
Along with his wife, John volunteered for Meals On Wheels for 20 years, and was known for his sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Also surviving are three sons, Thomas and wife, Debra, Dalton; Jerry and wife, Joanie, Clarks Green; and Paul and wife, Sherry, Dickson City; a daughter, Mary Alice Nichols and husband, Robert, S. Seaville, N.J.; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Anne Donegan; and a brother, Joseph.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., Scranton, with Mass at 9:30 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, St. John Neumann Parish, 633 Orchard St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Michael Bryant, pastor. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
