Thelma Witkowski, 92, of Scranton, died Monday morning at home. She was the wife of Ruben Witkowski.

Born in Hazleton, daughter of the late Isaac and Florence Mullin Singer, she was a graduate of Hazleton High School, and went on to attend Penn State University. She was a member of Machzikeh Hadas and its sisterhood, as well as B'nai B'rith Women, a life member of Hadassah and an avid supporter of Camp Ramah.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed reading and whose true joy was her family.
Surviving are a son, Isaac Witkowski and wife, Susan, Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Florence Dmitrovsky and husband, Ethan, Houston, Texas; and Annie Fierman and husband, Daniel, Kingston; grandchildren, Zoe and Adam Donnell, Tess, Sarah and Jacob Dmitrovsky, Lily, Rose, William and Norah Fierman and Gabrielle and Julian Witkowsky; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held today at 3 p.m. at the Dalton Jewish Cemetery by Rabbi Mordechai Fine. Arrangements are under the care of Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., Dunmore.
Friends will be received during shiva today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the family residence, 725 N. Webster Ave., Scranton, and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Annie Fierman, 155 Butler St., Kingston.
