Alice G. Lutz Marine City Alice G. Lutz, 81, of Marine City, entered Eternal life on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born in Algonac on March 26, 1932, a daughter to the late William and Alice Bradshaw. She married Harold E. "Baldy" Lutz on December 29, 1950 in Algonac and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2003. Alice was a graduate of Algonac High School. She was a 65 year member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Charles Schoor Post 796, in Port Huron and joined under her father's eligibility when she was 16 years old. Her father was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II. Alice was also a member of the Military Order of the Cootie which is the honor degree of the VFW who are the hospital workers that go to nursing homes and veterans' hospitals to throw parties for the patients. She's a former member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Cherry Beach Seniors. Alice loved going to bingos, casinos and doing ceramics as well as making baby quilts for family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Harold Jr. of Marine City; Robert (Lori) of St. Clair and Tim (Vicky) Lutz of Fort Gratiot; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Pat) Bradshaw of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; stepfather, John R. Wisdom; sister, Mary Lou Soulliere; and brother, Gerald T. Bradshaw. Services will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 7 p.m. in Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City, under the auspices of Alice's VFW Auxiliary and her family will receive visitors in the funeral home on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. www.bowerrosefuneralhome.com Memorials to the "family's wishes" may be made in lieu of sending flowers.
