Charles "Chuck" Norman Westrick Casa Grande, AZ Charles "Chuck" Norman Westrick, 76, of Casa Grande and Prescott, Arizona departed this life Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Prescott. He was born July 11, 1936 at home in Saint Clair, Michigan to Norman "Norm" and Clara Westrick. Chuck joined the US Air Force at the age of 17, as a Flight Engineer assigned to the elite Strategic Air Command (SAC). He retired with numerous commendations and awards as a Technical Sergeant after 20 plus years, including two tours in Viet Nam earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Chuck known as "Wes" to his flight crew members displayed the highest example of leadership through his superior performance. Chuck married Mickie Hendon on July 11, 1987. He joined TransAmercia in 1973 as a collector, and retired as an Executive Branch Manager and Underwriter in 1997. Chuck was an admired and accomplished businessman. He enjoyed year round golf, shooting Trap, socializing, entertaining, and arranging outings. He enjoyed the company of many, many close friends in Sacramento California, Saint Clair Michigan, Casa Grande and Prescott, Arizona. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Norman Henry and Clara Emma Westrick. He is survived by his wife of 25 plus years Mickie; sons Lee (Leslie) Westrick, Rick (Mickey) Hendon, Rob (Kathryn) Hendon; brothers Bernie Westrick, Dan (Teri) Westrick, and Joe Westrick; sisters Arlene (Tom) Askew, Anne (Mike) Delor, and Rose (Steve) Anderson; grandchildren Benjamin, Xavier, Nasrin, Britney, Devin, Arynn; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Committal Service 11:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 with full military honors at the Prescott National Cemetery 500 N. HWY 89 Prescott, Arizona.
