Charley Leon Forman, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Marshall, Texas.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lydia Helen McNaughten Forman of Marshall, Texas; sons, Barry and Bradley Forman of Marshall, Texas; daughter, Sandra Westfall of Carmen, Idaho; grandchildren, Angela and Jacob of Marshall, Texas, Brittany and Dustin Forman of Richmond, Texas, Savannah Minor of Pasadena, Texas, Jodi, Chris Berry, and Cameron Westfall of Carmen, Idaho; several great grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Benny McNaughten and wife Lottie of Silsbee, Texas, and James McNaughten and wife Montez of Milam, Texas; sister-in-laws, Mary O'Riley and husband Jim of Silsbee, Texas, Shirley Parks and husband Steven of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Turley and husband Jim of Longview, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mae Andrus Forman of Turkey Creek; sisters, Betty Forman Bennett and husband, Earl of Turkey Creek, and Florence Powers of Kinder.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was discharged from active military service as AME (E-5).
As a young man he enjoyed sports, especially basketball and baseball. He loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He worked at Leedo Cabinetry for twenty-four years starting as plant manager and ending as vice president in East Bernard, Texas. He worked briefly for Republic Cabinetry in Marshall, Texas until he had to retire.
Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie. Burial will be at Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale, Reverend Keith Sheridan officiating services.
