Delia Hooe O'Shee Walker

Delia Hooe O'Shee Walker, age 87, of Alexandria, La., died on November 30, 2012, in her home. Private Graveside Services and Burial were held in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son with the Reverend Fred H. Tinsley, Jr., rector of St. James Episcopal Church, officiating. Mrs. Walker was born in Alexandria She graduated from Bolton High School the summer of 1941, and attended H. Sophie Newcomb College at Tulane University in New Orleans where she was initiated into the Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from LSU in 1945.

She was a life-long member of St. James Episcopal Church, a member of The National Society of Colonial Dames of America, Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America, Daughters of the American Revolution, Fine Arts and Memorial Committee of St. James Episcopal Church, Charter member of the Green Thumb Garden Club, the Alexandria Golf and Country Club, and the Ladies Golf Association.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her daughter, Delia Hooe Walker, her husband Henry Gregory Walker, and her parents Minnie Hooe O'Shee, and David Stafford O'Shee. She is survived by four sons: Henry Gregory Walker, Jr., David Stafford O'Shee Walker (and Janet), Timothy Richard Walker (and Fern), Thomas Lewis Walker (and Aza); eight grandchildren: Henry Gregory Walker, III (and Melissa), David Stafford O'Shee Walker, Jr., Matthew Chaney Walker, Lee Garnet Walker, Timothy Richard Walker, Jr., William Ryland Walker, Aza Mercer Walker, Delia Hooe Walker; a Great Grandson: Henry Gregory Walker, IV; and her sister, Minnie O'Shee Mikell.

The family wishes to thank her health care providers for their loving care.
