Funeral services for Rev. Joseph W. Prince Jr., will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Bentley United Pentecostal Church, Bentley, La. with Reverends Bruce Maxwell, Elsie Johnson and Leland Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Ball, La., under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Rev. Joseph W. Prince, Jr., of Pineville entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana.

He was a native of Harrisonburg, La. He was Pentecostal preacher for many years and also led a Radio Ministry. He was well respected in his ministries. He was a retired EMT with Huey P. Long Medical Center and also worked for Dresser Industries for many years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran where he was proud to serve his country. He was a member of Bentley United Pentecostal Church. He was a positive influence to many people. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Genater Thacker Prince; his parents, Joseph and Josie Prince; his son, Kirk Prince.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Mike Prince (Theresa) of Pineville, Jeff Prince (Delores) of Pineville; his daughters, Kay Soileau of Pollock, Patricia Prince (Robert) of Pineville; his brother, Ray Prince of Harrisonburg, La.; his sister, Rita Dedman of Pollock. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Bentley United Pentecostal Church, Bentley, La. on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m.
