Funeral mass for Jules C. "Teeny" Lemoine, Sr. will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 beginning at 10:30am at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 beginning at 5pm until 7pm at the Escudé Funeral Home in Cottonport. Burial will be at the St. Mary's No. 2 Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escudé Funeral Home.
Jules C. "Teeny" Lemoine, Sr. was born on May, 14, 1926 and died on November 5, 2013 11:50am at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was 87, a native of Cottonport and a resident of Marksville, since 1981. Mr. Lemoine joined the Navy 1944-46 World War II, retired from U.S. Geological Survey as a Cartographer, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Cottonport, member of Spring Bayou Restoration Team, Marksville VFW and American Legion. He loved Spring Bayou and all of his wonderful neighbors who always looked after him whenever he had problems. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the wildlife.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bernice Brown; son Jules "Bo" Lemoine, Jr., St. Petersburg, Florida; two brothers: Richard Don Lemoine, Excelsior Springs, Missouri and William "Nippy" Lemoine, New Roads; and his parents Hilary and Viola "Pete" Lemoine, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Survivors include his sister Emma Jacobs (Mike) and brother Mikal Lemoine (Judy) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; son Curtis C. Lemoine (Rita), granddaughter Katherine both of Decatur, Texas and daughter Nanette Pritchett of Alexandria; grandson Brad Andes (Wendy) of Gorum; grandson Richard Lemoine of Grand Junction, Colorado; step-grandson John Pritchett (Sheila) of Brusly; great-grandson Bailey Andes, step-great-granddaughter Tessa Coutee of Gorum; step-great-granddaughters Chelsea and Baylea Pritchett both of Brusly; sister-in-laws Mary Ellen Thevenot Lemoine of Fairhope, AL and Karen Lemoine of Excelsor Springs Missouri.
