Funeral services for Raymond C. Paul, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria National Cemetery, Pineville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Raymond C Paul Sr., 91, died peacefully on February 24, 2014, at his home with his family at his side. Raymond was born in Alexandria to Dollie and Jervey Paul. He is preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Laure-Reine Geoffroy Paul; his son Albert "Chris" Navarro and seven brothers and sisters.

Raymond, a member of St Rita Catholic Church, was retired from the US Air Force and the US Postal Service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. In World War II he was a tail gunner on an A-20 aircraft where he completed 50 combat missions in North Africa, Germany and Italy.

Those left to cherish his memories include his second wife Ruby, four sons and their wives Raymond Paul Jr and Pat, Bob Paul and Ann, Patrick Paul and Debra, Guy Navarro and Millie; his thirteen grandchildren: Kenny Paul, Monica Paul Smith, Brian Paul, Sarah Lindell, Kelly Waring, Charissa Lemoine, Guy Navarro Jr, Pauline Navarro -Russ, Nadine Navarro, Christo Navarro, Renee Navarro, Deena Navarro and Michael Navarro; eighteen great grandchildren; and his long time card playing buddies Don Wilmore, Steve Boeta and John Scott.

Pall bearers honored to serve are Brian Paul, Niles Paul, Kenny Paul, Guy Navarro Jr, Gage Wagner, Jason Waring, Barry Knapp, and James Perry.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be made to St. Mary's Residential Training @ 6715 Hwy 1 North, Alexandria, LA 71301
