Reginald "Reg" Robertson, 88, of Pineville entered eternal rest at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La.
Services for Mr. Robertson will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Rush Funeral Home in Pineville. Reverend Terry Ganey and Mark Smith will be officiating. Internment will follow at Greenwood Memorial in Pineville.
Mr. Robertson was owner and operator of Reg Robertson Plumbing Co. for over forty years. He was a graduate of Pollock High School where he was an allstar baseball player. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a avid gardner. He served his country proudly as a U.S. Navy Veteran serving as a Seaman First Class in the Iwojima South Pacific Theatre helping to occupy Japan.
He was preceded in death by, his brothers, Lucien Robertson, Quincy Robertson, W.G. Robertson; his sisters, Claudia Thompson, Ruth Stevens, Helen Crowley, Edith Cole, Jewel Duhon, Docia Lea Bradley.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Ara Clark Robertson, his son, Ronald Robertson of Pineville, his daughter, Pamela Norman (Chris) of Pineville, 2 grandchildren, Justin Norman, Lauren (Will) Whittington.
Visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home Tuesday, May 12, 2014 from 5 - 9 P.M. and will continue Wednesday 11 -1 until time of services.
Pallbearers serving will be: Edward Futch, Matthew Neal, Larry Clark, Justin Normand, Timothy Cole, William Whittington.
Honorary: Sam Roland, Curtis Robertson, Herman Chelette, Dewey Chelette, Kenneth Beasley, Chris Normand.
