Memorial services for Stanford Baxter Hibbard, Sr. will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the Long Leaf Baptist Church. Reverend Scott Burns will be officiating, under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Stan, 68, of Forest Hill, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 22, 1945 in Colchester, Vermont to the union of Lawrence Hibbard and Bernice Baxter Hibbard. He was a member of the Long Leaf Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After serving his country, he became a life long truck driver and his CB handle was "Paw Paw". He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Hellen R. Hibbard of Forest Hill; one brother, Langford Hibbard of Milton, Vermont; one sister, Dale Hemingway of Milton, Vermont; three sons, Stanford B. "Tinker" Hibbard, Jr. of Forest Hill, Jeffery Hibbard of Boyce, and Rusty Robbins of Forest Hill; four daughters, Loretta Slaughter, husband Russell of Pollock, Gina Snoddy, her husband Wesley of Turkey Creek, Donna Coker, her husband Bryant of McNary, and Cindy Ray, her husband John of Forest Hill; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; numerous loving nieces, nephews, friends, and a loving church family.
