Arthur Allen Aldrich was born October 20, 1944 in Saratoga Springs, NY to Carl and Shirley Aldrich, the second of six children. He passed to his eternal rest on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2014 at Sea View Health and Wellness Center, where he resided for the last six years ,due to vascular dementia. He was 69 years old when he succumbed to aspiration pneumonia. Arthur came to Beatrice, CA with his family in 1952. He attended Loleta Grammar School, graduated from Fortuna Union High School, attended College of the Redwoods, and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ticonderoga. Arthur worked various jobs in and out of the area, the last being as a longshoreman through the I.L.W.U., Local 14. He loved his union brothers. Arthur is survived by his wife, Naomi Ruth Aldrich and her family. He is survived by his daughter Annette Marie Harris and three grandsons, Mark Allen, Matthew and Mason Harris and their families. Other survivors include his brother Gerald (Marlene) Aldrich and sisters Marlene (Lee) Toroni, Karen Aldrich and Deanne (Harold) Alexander. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his father and mother, his brother Brian, and many other relatives. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were handled by Pierce Mortuary and Ocean View Cemetery.
