Obituary Condolences

Paul Holly Bartram Paul Holly Bartram passed on April 8, 2014. He was born on 12-5-1931 in Redding, Ca., where he was raised. He was in the Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. After his discharge he came to Humboldt County where his family-mother and brother-was residing. In the early years he worked in several lumber mills and the Paladini seafood plant. He worked as a carpenter, as well. He then spent over 10 years at Hilfiker Pipe as a welder, and another 14 years at Humboldt Recovery Center as a drug/alcohol counselor. After retiring he worked part-time for Golden State Overnight delivering goods to government agencies, businesses and private parties. He loved to drive, and especially loved the SF 49rs; an avid fan since the early 1950's. He enjoyed watching the Canadian geese and the pelicans by the bay. Paul was a member of the Eureka Church of Christ and cherished his fellowship with all of the congregation. He recently attended a "High Tea" , celebrating Valentine's Day with his wife and other men and women of the congregation. All were impressed with the event, especially Paul. He was pre-deaceaced by his mother, Shelda Bartram, father, Paul W. Bartram, and favorite buddy, Kimo, a minature poodle, who owned Paul. He is survived by his wife, Miki, his brother, Floyd, and sister-in-law, Linda of Beatty, Oregon. Also is survived by his step-daughters Cynthia Hill of Minnesota, Seana Repair of Texas, and step-son Brad Harvell of Texas, and all their children-13 in all, and 6 great-grandchildren.
