Everett Sahl Obituary
Everett Arlin Sahl, of Longmont, CO, died February 21, 2013 at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, CO. He was 80 years old. Everett was born on June 16, 1932 in Kenyon, MN, the son of Enes and Amanda (Braaten) Sahl. He moved to Fairbault, MN in 1944, graduating from Fairbault High School in 1951. Everett married Arline Oeltjenbruns on May 19, 1956 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, MN. He served with the National Guard from 1950-1953. He worked at Jostens Ring factory in Owatonna. Everett moved to Colorado in 1967, working at Grandview Phillips in Boulder as a machinist, retiring in 1999. Everett was a member of the American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose - 1548, where he was an Honorary Past Governor and a Pilgram. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Charlene, and grandsons Christopher Ballard and Jared Sekich. Everett is survived by his wife Arline, children Pam (Dennis) Martin of Ft. Collins, Roxanne (Mike) Kessler and Lisa (John) Sekich of Platteville, Cindy (Mark) Ballard of Mead and Bob (Janet) Sahl of Longmont, grandchildren Erik (Helen) Kessler, Erin (Jake) Gordanier, Doug (Tasha) Martin, Christina Martin, Carrie Martin, Stephanie (Chris) Skelly, Stacie Ballard, Amanda (Carson) Foose, Mariah Sekich and great-grandchildren Jonah and Micah Kessler, Jayleigh and Brileigh Gordanier and Kylie Skelly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
