Charles Henault Jr.

Charles Henault Jr., formerly of Dover, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, in Rogersville, Ala. He was 79.

Mr. Henault was born July 20, 1934, in Webster, Mass. to the late Charles E. Henault Sr. and Dorothy Daveau Henault.

He served in the United States Air Force retiring in 1973 after 23 years of service as a Tech Sgt. After his military career he went to work for Dover Volkswagen as a parts manager and retired in 1995 after 20 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post No. 2 in Dover. Mr. Henault enjoyed bowling and played on many leagues for both Brunswick and Dover Bowl.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Oliver Henault, in 2013.

He is survived by his children, Cheryal Roe and her husband, Robert, of Magnolia, David Henault and his wife, Debra, of Magnolia, Daniel Henault and his wife, Patti, of Dover, and Deborah Yadacus and her husband, Gredgory, of Rogersville, Ala.; brother, Kenneth Henault, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Geraldine Haas, of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Jessica Prince, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Danielle Henault, Devin Rhodes, and Katie Henault, all of Magnolia, and Colby, Emily, and Morgan Yadacus, all of Alabama; and great-grandchildren, Ellah Grace Rhodes and Dillon Prince.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held 1 pm at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Shoals, 115 Fairground Rd., Florence, AL 35630.
