Jackie Spiers

Jackie "Kenneth" Spiers, 66, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Lakeland Community Hospital.

Mr. Spiers was born on June 9, 1947, in Colbert County, Ala. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam War.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 24, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Double Springs, where services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Reverend Coy Morgan and Reverend Danny Page will officiated. Burial followed in Henryfield FCM Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jettie V. Spiers; daughter, Sherry S. (Brian K.) Fincher; brother, Larry (Cozette) Pickens; and sisters, Linda (Aubrey) Henderson, Betty (Johnny) Baldy, and Connie (Ricky) Abbott.

He was "PawPaw" to two grandchildren, Bailee Fincher and Emma Fincher.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, James Spiers; mother, Eva Pickens; stepfather, Hariam Pickens; and brothers, Doyle Spiers, Jerome Pickens, Ronnie Pickens, Henry Lee Spiers, and James Ruby Spiers
