SHEARMAN, Michael John Charles, 44, born August 6, 1968 in Rickmansworth, England, departed this life on February 19, 2013. His parents, Jane and John Shearman, preceded him in death. Michael leaves behind to cherish many loving memories his devoted wife of 21 years, Dawn; and his adoring children, Zack, 12 and Sophie, 8. His sisters, Juliet, Nicky and Sarah will miss him dearly. Michael's extended family, Bobbie and Dan Niccolucci, and Denise and Ryan Barnes, will forever treasure their time with him. His nieces, Lillian and Lucy Barnes loved their Uncle Michael. Michael's gentle manner and sincerity were enjoyed by an abundance of loyal friends. Michael graduated with an Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a master's degree from Princeton University. He was a consummate professional and the owner of Shearman Associates, a residential design-build firm. Michael appreciated the support of his friends and associates, Todd Hersey and Kirk Perry, and all of the subcontractors who worked with him. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bliley's-Central 3801 Augusta Avenue, with a memorial service to follow.
