Margaret "Peg" J. Moen, age 86, of Dallas, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Scranton, Peg was a daughter of the late Frederick W. and Mary Harris Jennings. She was educated in the Scranton area school system and was a graduate of Penn State University, State College.

Peg retired from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, where she worked as a manager of various liquor stores in the area.

She was an avid Penn State football and Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan. Peg liked to play bridge, travel and loved crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Dallas, and Huntsville Christian Church, Jackson Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Moen; infant twin sister, Mary, and companion, Francis "Gabe" Gabel.

Surviving are daughters, Sue Gusher and husband Mike, Dallas; Barb Trojan and husband Jay, Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Gusher and wife Maureen, St. Louis, Mo.; Traci Thomas and husband Brian, Delran, N.J.; Megan Antonik and husband Jeff, Kingston; Mallory Trojan, Dallas; great-grandchildren, Mason and Benjamin Antonik, Trent Thomas; sisters Anne Byer, Clarks Summit; Jane Thomas, State College; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main Street, Shavertown. The Rev. Pat Colladay, Pastor of Huntsville Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery, Clarks Summit. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Peg's family wish to thank the staff of The Meadows Manor, Dallas, for the wonderful care and compassion they provided.
