Donald Scott Clements
age 90 of Winter Garden Fla., went home to be with the LORD on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. Don grew up in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a proud veteran of the United States Navy and World War II. Don was a graduate of University of Memphis, where he received his Master's degree in Industrial Arts. He was a teacher at Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tenn., and Apopka High School, in Apopka, Fla. Afterwards, he became a Master Carpenter for Walt Disney World, where he worked until his retirement in 1986. He was an active member of Frayser Presbyterian Church in Memphis, and John Knox Presbyterian Church in Orlando. Don was a tinkerer by hobby and made quick friends with neighbors through repairing pretty much anything. He was married for 62 years and was a faithful and devoted caretaker of his beloved wife, Shirley until her passing in 2010. He is survived by his children, Richard (Lorie) Clements, Ronald (Rebie) Clements, Carolyn (Ed) Arch, and Sheryl Amato. Don had several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Schweickart and a brother, Glenn Clements.
Family will be present to receive friends Friday, Jan. 10th, from 10-11 a.m. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando; where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Mr. Clements will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Fla.
