George Robert Denham
82 of 4353 Ranchwood Drive Bucyrus, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Bucyrus Commuity Hospital. He was born Friday, June 13, 1930 in Coshocton to the late Robert S. and Florence (Folkert) Denham. He was a 1948 graduate of Newcomerstown High School and also attended The Ohio State University. He was a US Army Korean War veteran serving from May 18, 1951 until April 24, 1953. He retired from the Kroger Co. after 40 years as a meat cutter. He was a member of the Service Station bowling league in Bucyrus, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
On Sunday, March 7, 1954 he married Dorcus Y. (Dawson) Denham who survives. He is also survived by one son, Robert A. Denham and his wife, Kathy of Bucyrus; two granddaughters, Heather A. (Michael) Desguin and Christina D. (Isaac) Engelhorn; one great-granddaughter, Lily Engelhorn. He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew D. Denham.
Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Addy Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Silverthorne officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at the Addy Funeral Home. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
