Richard "Dick" Bair
entered into the arms of Jesus in his Heavenly Home on July 19, 2014. He was born March 25, 1930 in Akron, Ohio to Willard "Max" and Florence Bair. Dick graduated from Middlebranch High School in 1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served in the Korean Conflict 1951-1955. He was a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church and actively participated in Lutheran Men in Mission. Dick was a loved and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn (Coates) Bair and their greatest legacy, their five children: Scott and Pam Bair of Worthington, Sue and Eric Wottle of New Philadelphia, Shawn Bair and fiancé Julieanne Genet of North Lawrence, Steve and Minh Bair of Jackson Township, Sheri and Lito Belardo of Jackson Township; 14 grandchildren, Scott and Amy Bair, Kymberly Bair, Samantha and Enoch Wright, Brian Wottle, Michael Wottle, Travis Johnson, Mason Bair, Morgan Bair, Jennifer Baskin, Caitlin Bair, Kiersten Bair, Matthew Belardo, Alex Belardo, Jackson "Jack" Belardo; four great-grandchildren, Lara Taylor Bair, Trenton Coffman, Aidan and Atlas Wright; sister, Marilon Emerson of Escondido, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vivian Harper; and granddaughter, Tiffany Bair.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 11a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church (701 Broad Ave NW) Interment will be on Friday, July 25 at 11:30a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
